Job Description

Hillocc Pty Ltd is a small, well-established firm of professional consulting surveyors located in Coorparoo. Our team is well known for the boutique surveying services we provide to our clients in the construction industry.

 

We are seeking an energetic and productive person to join our team in the role of Accounts/Administration Officer.

 

This diverse position requires a capable, multi-skilled individual who will be responsible not only for the account keeping functions of the business but also the reception duties as the first point of contact for our clients. Additionally, you will undertake the invoicing and data entry, and assist with the programming of daily work for the surveyors. At times, you will also act as PA to the two Principals.

 

In this role, you can expect to start on a base salary of $50,000 per annum + superannuation. With bonuses, you could earn $75,000 p/a + super.

Key Responsibilities

This multi-faceted role involves:

  • Bookkeeping functions including debtors and creditors, bank account reconciliation, BAS statement, payroll, and other related activities (with support from the Administration Manager as required).
  • Data entry including invoicing and general typing duties
  • Providing PA support to the Principals including intercepting phone calls and handling matters whilst they are in the field, as well as general clerical duties.

Experience:

To be successful in this role you will need to have:

  • A strong bookkeeping background with a minimum of 1 year's administration and accounts experience.
  • Be attentive to detail and be able to prioritise effectively
  • Good computer skills and be proficient with an accounting software package (either MYOB, Xero or QuickBooks) and MS Outlook, Excel & Word.
  • Minimum typing speed of 50wpm
  • Be capable of taking directions whilst also being a self-starter.
  • Have experience in a similar role
