Job Description

Hillocc Pty Ltd is a small, well-established firm of professional consulting surveyors located in Coorparoo. Our team is well known for the boutique surveying services we provide to our clients in the land development and premium residential construction industry.

 

Our Survey department is looking for a Junior CAD Draftsperson who has a strong interest in Maths to take on the preparation of Topographical Site and boundary plans relevant to the construction industry.

 

To be successful, you will have some CAD knowledge and will have a good background in Maths and enjoy working with computers.

 

You will be provided with technical survey drawing in the specialised area of Survey Drafting. You will work closely with the Surveyors to interpret raw field data into 2D/3D CAD drawings.

 

From time to time, you will assist the Surveyors in the field so you will need to be fit to carry out your field responsibilities and love working outdoors.

 

It is envisaged that the ratio of office to field work will be approximately 95% Survey drafting to 5% field work.

In this role, you can expect to start on a base salary of $41,000 per annum + superannuation. With bonuses, you could earn $65,600 p/a + super; which is clear of $72k in salary p/a.

The potential career progression for a Junior Draftsperson at Hillocc is: 

 

Junior Draftsperson > Senior Draftsperson > Drafting Manager > VP Operations

Key Responsibilities
  • Interpret raw field data into 2D/3D CAD drawings
  • Interpret engineering and architectural plans
  • Preparation of Topographical Site and Boundary plans
  • Occasionally assist Surveyors in the field

Completion of a relevant CAD course or Certificate will be viewed favourably.
