Job Description

Hillocc Pty Ltd is a small, well-established firm of professional consulting surveyors located in Coorparoo. Our team is well known for the boutique surveying services we provide to our clients in the land development and premium residential construction industry.

 

Our Survey department is looking for a Junior Survey Assistant who is capable of working as part of a team in a survey field party and has the potential to advance into higher roles.

 

To be successful, you will be a quick study and capable of understanding and executing instructions from surveyors. You will be energetic, personable and self-motivated to use your own initiative.

 

You will assist the Surveyors in the field so you will need to be fit to carry out your field responsibilities and love working outdoors.

 

We’re looking for a real superstar with an excellent attitude who is committed to their own continuous personal development and has ambitions to advance within our growing company. 

 

In this role, you can expect to start on a base salary of $42,000 per annum + superannuation. With bonuses, you could earn $67,200 p/a + super; which is clear of $73k in salary p/a.

The potential career progression for a Junior Survey Assistant at Hillocc is: 

 

Junior/Senior Survey Assistant > Survey Technician > Associate Surveyor

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist Surveyors with the conduct of Detail / Topographic Surveys / Building Setouts, etc
  • Performing online information searches
  • Preparation of survey vehicles
  • Maintenance of survey equipment
  • Understudy Survey Technicians
Skills & Experience

The successful applicant will have:

  • Fit to carry out both field and office duties
  • Excellent attitude and time management
  • Ability to receive and implement instructions 
  • Good computer knowledge and technical problem-solving skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Have ambition to self-develop and advance within the company

The following would be desirable:

  • 12 months experience in a similar role
  • Manual vehicle licence would be beneficial
