The Role

 

Our Survey department is looking for a Cadastral Surveying Graduate who is capable of working autonomously, leading a field party and mentoring junior staff.

 

You can expect to start on:

  • A base salary of $85,000 p/a + superannuation + work vehicle.
  • With bonuses, you could earn $127,500 p/a + super + car (Potential salary $141k+).
  • Scheduled and guaranteed annual pay increases.

 

You will also be provided with ongoing training, mentorship, career development and guidance, because we believe our staff are our greatest asset. You can also expect to receive ample opportunity to advance your career and promote within the company as Hillocc is growing.

 

The career progression for a Graduate Surveyor at Hillocc is:

 

Graduate Surveyor > Registered Surveyor > Endorsed Surveyor > Survey Manager

 

Whilst we’re looking for an individual with leadership potential, you will receive one-on-one mentoring directly from the companies CEO and Survey Manager, both of whom are highly regarded Registered Surveyors with Cadastral and Consulting Endorsements (aka Licensed Surveyors) in the state of Queensland.

 

Hillocc is dedicated to seeing our people quickly advance upwards and promote. Which is why Graduate Surveyors are enrolled into our Registration Program and can attain Registration with the Surveyors Board of Queensland in as little as 12 months.

Key Responsibilities

Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Perform Cadastral and Spatial Surveys (with supervision)
  • Conduct Detail / Topographic Surveys / Building Setouts
  • Liaise with clients, site supervisors and other on-site staff
  • Perform and interpret survey calculations
  • Prepare Survey sketches for drafting department
  • Mentor junior surveying staff
Skills & Experience

The Successful Applicant Will Have:

  • Bachelor degree in Surveying
  • Fit to carry out both field and office duties
  • Efficient time management
  • Ability to operate autonomously
  • Good computer knowledge and technical problem-solving skills
  • Effective interpersonal and communication style
  • Methodical and have an eye for detail
  • Open vehicle licence
  • Ambition to self-develop and advance within the company

The Following Would Be Desirable:

  • Minimum 12 months experience surveying (at any level)
  • Ability to use CAD programs
