Hillocc Pty Ltd is a well-established and growing firm of professional consulting surveyors located in Coorparoo. Our team is well known for the boutique surveying services we provide to our clients in the land development and premium residential construction industry.

 

Our Survey department is looking for a Surveying Graduate who is capable of working autonomously, leading a field party and mentoring junior staff.

 

To be successful, you will be a highly competent surveyor who is self-motivated, energetic, personable and capable of solving problems through your own initiative.

 

We’re looking for a real superstar who is committed to their own continuous personal development and has ambitions to advance within our growing company.

 

In this role, you can expect to start on a base salary of $70,000 per annum + superannuation + work vehicle. With bonuses, you could earn $105,000 p/a + super + car.

The potential career progression for a Surveying Graduate at Hillocc is:

 

Surveying Graduate > Licensed Surveyor > Survey Manager > VP Operations

 

Whilst we’re looking for an individual with leadership abilities, you will receive one-on-one mentoring directly from the companies directors and CEO, all of whom are highly regarded Licensed Surveyors in the state of Queensland.

Key Responsibilities

Tasks & responsibilities

  • Conduct Detail / Topographic Surveys / Building Setouts
  • Perform Cadastral Surveys
  • Liaise with clients, site supervisors and other on-site staff
  • Perform and interpret survey calculations
  • Prepare Survey sketches for design clarification
  • Mentor junior surveying staff
Skills & Experience

Qualifications & experience

  • Bachelor degree in Surveying (highly desirable)
  • Minimum 12 months experience in a similar role
  • Registered with the Surveyors Board of Queensland (or ability to become Registered in a reasonable time)
  • Fit to carry out both field and office duties
  • Excellent time management
  • Ability to operate autonomously
  • Ability to use CAD programs
  • Good computer knowledge and technical problem-solving skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Methodical and have a meticulous eye for detail
  • Have ambition to self-develop and advance within the company
